• Mishra is among  the well-known and most experienced cardiac surgeons in India.
• He has an experience of quite 33 years, he is widely known and has successfully performed quite  14000 open heart surgeries including 510+ robotic surgeries.

• Completed a special course in Endoscopic from IMA harvesting Institute of TeleSurgery from the University of Strasbourg, France.
• He has also done Valve Surgery ( Heart Post Surgery or Keyhole surgery ) from Heart Port Research & Training Centre in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
• Dr Mishra has also been the Board of Directors of the International Society for Invasive Cardiac Surgery. He is the 4th Asian and 2nd Indian to be honored  with this distinction
• YK Mishra is one among the Founder Member of Indian College of Cardiology and Fellow Member of Association Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgeons of India.
• Mishra is additionally a founder member of the Payasuni Heart valve Foundation for the prevention and treatment of rheumatic heart diseases.
