He has undergone special training under eminent and world-renowned Joint replacement surgeons including Dr John Ireland, Dr of medicine Henry Halm from Muenster University Hospital, Germany.

He has completed his MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur, India in 1979, he then completed his MS from Government General Hospital, Chennai, India in 1982.
