His expertise lies in Endo-Vascular Intervention (Angioplasty / Stenting), Diabetic Foot Ulcer Management, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Aneurysmal Disease, Limb Preservation Surgeries, Acute Limb Ischemia, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, etc.

Dr. Balakumar completed his MBBS from Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Annamalai Nagar, in 1995.

After that, he received his MCh in 2006 from Madras Medical College, Chennai.
