Dr. M. Asha Subba Lakshmi is a popular Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who has been a part of the Liver Transplant programme.

She has tremendous experience of 26 Years and performed more than 2 Lakh diagnostic & therapeutic procedures like ERCP including Biliary& Pancreatic Endotherapy, EUS and Bariatric Balloon Placements.

She has treated more than 25,000 cases of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and has special interest in GI problems in women and endoscopic ultrasound.

Received Times of INDIA award for professional excellence in the category ‘Legend in Gastroenterology’ (2017).

Patients Best Doctor Award in 2017 by Continental Hospital, Gachibowli was given to Dr. M. Asha Subba Lakshmi.

She was also bestowed Sujana Award for Professional Excellence in the field of Medicine (2016).

Received Award for Professional Excellence from Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad (2014).

She has been a coauthor for Best paper awards in ISGCON 2004 and 2007.

The BEST PAPER Award in 1997 from The Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India for the paper titled “Precut Vs Needle Knife Sphincterotomy in Bilary & Pancreatic Diseases” was given to her.

Dr. Lakshmi has Life-memberships from different associations such as Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Association of Physicians of India, Indian Medical Association and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

After completing her M.B.B.S from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, She did her M.D. (General Medicine) from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam.
