Dr. Mohit Bhandari is a renowned expert in Bariatric, Metabolic, Robotic, and Endoscopic Surgery.
He is the most experienced and youngest bariatric surgeon in the Asia Pacific, having performed over 21,000 bariatric and metabolic surgeries.
In 2019, he achieved significant personal and professional milestones, including performing 53 surgeries in just 13 hours and 20 minutes, earning a place in both the Guinness Book of World Records and the World Book of Records.
He was also honored with the IFSO Ambassador Award 2019 for his exceptional contributions to the field of bariatric and metabolic surgeries in the region.
He introduced Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), a non-surgical weight loss procedure, to India in 2017.
Dr. Bhandari is a pioneer in robotic bariatric surgery in India, having been among the first surgeons to perform it.
He was also the first Indian doctor to perform a single anastomosis duodenal-ileal switch.

He performed the first documented obesity surgery in Asia in 2012 on an Asian woman weighing 350 kg.
