After completing MBBS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad in 1982, he completed MD in Pediatrics from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1989 followed by DM in Oncology from TNMGRMU in 1995.
He is an active member of the Organizing Committee of IRA (Indian Rheumatology Association), Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP), Indian Society of Oncology (ISO), Indian Society of Pediatric Oncology, and European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).
