Dr Vanita Raut is working at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital a full-time consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since April 2006.

She was previously at the Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital as a Professor and Unit Head.

Apart from routine obstetric and gynaecological work, Dr. Raut has special expertise and interest in gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology and high-risk pregnancy and has special expertise in difficult vaginal surgeries and is often invited as faculty for national and international workshops and conferences for the same.

Dr. Raut in her senior capacity has often been consulted and has managed high risk, difficult and complicated cases competently with her excellent clinical acumen and surgical skills.

Dr. Raut has more than twenty-five publications to her credit, which include original research articles, case reports (in national and international journals) and chapters in reputed under - and postgraduate textbooks.

She has presented many scientific papers in local, national and international conferences and has also been a convener for many workshops and seminars.

As a professor at one of the prime medical colleges, she has conducted many clinical trials.

Besides academic, clinical and research work, she is librarian of Mumbai Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society, one of the leading bodies of FOGSI (The Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India), where she has served for the last 20 years.
