Middle-Aged Man from Kenya Undergoes Successful Kidney Transplant in India

Daniel, a 46-year-old school principal from Kenya, had been living with chronic kidney disease for several years. Frequent dialysis sessions had taken a toll on his health, energy, and quality of life. His doctors advised a kidney transplant, but due to the lack of specialized transplant facilities in his city, he began exploring treatment options abroad.
During a health awareness event in Nairobi, Daniel met a representative from The Medical Trip Health, who introduced him to the possibility of getting treated in India. Soon after, Daniel contacted the team, who assisted him with finding a suitable hospital, arranging medical visa paperwork, and coordinating with his donor, his younger brother.
Upon arrival in India, Daniel was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, under the care of transplant specialist Dr. Arvind Mishra. The surgery, which lasted six hours, was a success, and within days Daniel began to regain strength and stability in his health.
Sharing his experience, Daniel said, “They took care of everything, from hospital arrangements to helping my brother and me settle in comfortably. The Medical Trip Health made what felt like an overwhelming journey so much easier for us. I’ll forever appreciate their commitment and compassion.”
Daniel stayed in India for 50 days to ensure complete post-surgery recovery and follow-up assessments. Today, he is back in Kenya, living a dialysis-free life and focusing on his family and work.
We at The Medical Trip are proud to have supported Daniel in his path to recovery and wish him continued good health.
