Young Woman from Bangladesh Regains Mobility After Advanced Knee Replacement in India

Shirin, a 29-year-old teacher from Dhaka, had been suffering from severe knee pain due to a rare degenerative joint condition. Over the years, her ability to walk, stand for long hours, and even carry out daily activities became increasingly difficult. Despite trying multiple treatments at home, her condition worsened, and local doctors recommended a knee replacement, a procedure not easily available in her city with the required advanced techniques.
While researching online, Shirin’s family discovered The Medical Trip Health and reached out for help. The team provided detailed guidance on the procedure, helped select an experienced orthopedic surgeon, and arranged all necessary travel documents and accommodation close to the hospital.
Upon arrival in India, Shirin was admitted to Max Super Speciality Hospital under the care of Dr. Ramesh Verma, a renowned orthopedic specialist. The surgery was completed successfully, and within a week she began walking short distances with support.
Recalling her journey, Shirin said, “I was nervous about traveling to another country for surgery, but The Medical Trip Health made everything so smooth. They were there for me at every step, from the airport pickup to my follow-up visits. I’ll always be thankful for their support.”
Shirin stayed in India for 30 days to complete her rehabilitation and physiotherapy sessions. Now back in Bangladesh, she has regained her mobility and confidence and has returned to her teaching career without pain.
We at The Medical Trip are proud to have played a role in Shirin’s recovery and wish her an active, happy life ahead.
